Relational Wellness Index

What is the Relational Wellness Index?

We consume and process communication every second of the day. (yes, when we are sleeping too.) Some communication is nourishing and sometimes the ways we are relating to the world, each other, and ourselves is making us anxious, fearful and generally unwell. Think of the types of communications you consume and participate in as food. What makes up your relational diet? Use +1 scores for healthy relating snacks and -1 scores for unhealthy relating snacks. Use +3 scores for healthy relating meals and -3 scores for unhealthy relating meals.

Use the Index to:

  • To determine your best relational diet of the three types of communications (internal, one-way external, two -way external)
  • To have a sense of the types of communications that contribute to your mental wellness.
  • To check-in and modify the types of communications you are consuming that are causing mental fatigue, fear, worry, etc.

DISCLAIMER: RWI is not a mental health diagnosis. I believe in therapy and mental health support. If you feel you need urgent support text HOME to 741-741.  Click to see a list of Mental Health Resources.
